Life Saving Event

This Saturday, our community took part in a valuable life-saving workshop that everyone found really interesting. We learned how to handle emergencies like choking, severe bleeding, seizures, and allergic reactions, and also got a refresher on CPR.

A big thank you to Louise Wells for presenting everything clearly and answering all our questions, and we’re grateful to Ian Watson for setting up the event.

In the photo, Louise is showing us how to help someone who is choking, with an interpreter making sure everyone understands. This workshop has greatly boosted our readiness to deal with emergencies.

“You made us all feel so at ease, we had such a laugh with you all. Really going to miss our Monday evenings.”

“I have enjoyed all aspects – inclusiveness and comfortable.”

“It is super important for all workplaces to be inclusive so having this opportunity to spend the time doing this was fantastic. I feel confident that I would be able to have a go at least.”

“It’s fun and we’ve all learned loads. I really hope to keep it up!”
